Take heed traveler, for this is no ordinary well, but a font of fortune born of a pirate’s lost hope.
Cast upon these shores as the sole survivor of a hapless voyage, I lost both treasure and crew to the Esperanza’s curse. In my despair, I cast what remained of my ill-gotten doubloons into this well, expecting naught but to rid myself of their burden.
